Vitamin E — Natural 700IU is an oil-soluble antioxidant: a concentrated blend of natural mixed tocopherols, the forms of vitamin E found in plant oils. It contains 70% natural mixed tocopherols and is widely used to help slow oil oxidation in skincare formulations.
Added at low levels in the cool-down phase of production, it helps protect the oils in a formulation and has been reported to help support the skin's own defences against oxidative stress. Note that it is an antioxidant, not a preservative.

Protecting oils in formulations: add up to 1% to oils, balms and creams to help slow oxidation and extend the freshness of the oils. Add during the cool-down phase to preserve its activity.
Skin-conditioning formulations: up to 2% may be used in creams, lotions and serums. It has been reported to help support the skin's defences against oxidative stress and leave skin feeling soft.
Formulation notes: oil-soluble, viscous and sticky — warm gently if needed and mix thoroughly. It is an antioxidant, not a preservative, and does not replace one in water-containing products. Test small batches to perfect your recipe.
Blends Well With
| Vitamin E Natural 700IU is oil-soluble and blends into any carrier oil, and is especially useful alongside oils that are naturally high in polyunsaturated fatty acids, which oxidise more readily — such as Rosehip Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Hemp Seed Oil and Evening Primrose Oil. It can also be added to balms, creams and massage oils, and to blends with essential oils such as Frankincense, Lavender and Geranium, as a broad formulation guideline. |
