Liniment Active Rub
Liniment Active Rub
Liniment Active Rub
Liniment Active Rub is a traditional warming liniment oil, blended with active ingredients traditionally used to help ease muscle aches, sprains, strains and minor arthritic discomfort.
This time-tested recipe has long been traditionally considered one of the more well-established active sports rubs for easing muscular tension and soreness, though this reflects traditional use rather than established clinical evidence, and individual results vary.
Ideal for use before, during or after physical activity, it can be massaged into larger muscle groups such as calves, hamstrings and quadriceps and may help support muscle comfort and mobility as part of a warm-up or recovery routine.
Our formulation combines the warming and cooling effects of Methyl Salicylate and Camphor with the comforting aromas of Clove, Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oils. These active ingredients are traditionally used together to help provide a warming sensation to areas of muscular tension. The blend is carried in nourishing sweet almond oil, which helps ensure smooth application and gentle skin feel.
Liniment Active Rub has traditionally been used to help provide temporary comfort for muscular conditions including arthritis, lumbago, rheumatism, backache and fibrosis, and general muscular soreness — though this reflects traditional use rather than established clinical evidence, and individual results vary; this is a cosmetic ingredient rather than a substitute for medical treatment.
Key Ingredients: Methyl Salicylate, Camphor, Clove Oil, Peppermint Oil and Eucalyptus Oil in a Sweet Almond Oil base.
Safety information: for external use only — contains Methyl Salicylate and Camphor, both genuinely toxic if ingested, particularly by children, and Methyl Salicylate carries a documented interaction with anticoagulant (blood-thinning) medication — keep well out of reach of children, and consult a doctor first if taking blood-thinning medication. As with familiar chest-rub-style products containing Peppermint and Eucalyptus, avoid use on children under 2 years of age, and keep away from the nose, mouth and eyes. Clove oil may cause skin sensitivity in some individuals. As the base oil is sweet almond, a tree nut oil, those with a tree nut allergy should avoid use. A patch test is recommended before first use — see the Safety Data Sheet and Ingredient & Allergen Statement in the Product Documents section below for full detail.
