Kakadu Plum Seed Oil (Cold Pressed)

Kakadu Plum Seed Oil is a lightweight, cold-pressed oil pressed from the seed kernels of the Kakadu plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana), a native Australian fruit renowned as one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C ever recorded — reportedly up to 3800mg per 100g of fruit, dozens of times the level found in oranges.

This seed oil is crafted to capture some of the goodness of that remarkable fruit, and may retain trace antioxidant compounds associated with it, though vitamin C itself is water-soluble and is concentrated mainly in the fruit pulp rather than the seed oil — this oil's own strength lies in its naturally high linoleic acid content, along with gallic and ellagic acid antioxidants. It has been reported to help support the skin's natural collagen production and may help improve the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, while supporting skin elasticity and hydration — though individual results vary, and this is a cosmetic ingredient rather than a substitute for medical or dermatological treatment. Its gallic and ellagic acid content has also been reported to offer mild antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which may help support the appearance of redness, irritation and occasional breakouts.

Apply a few drops directly to skin, massaging gently until absorbed, or use as a lightweight hydrating treatment. For formulations, blend at 5–15% into serums, creams or moisturisers. Test small batches to perfect your recipe.

Botanical Name: Terminalia ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Seed Oil.

Safety information: generally well tolerated on all skin types. This oil is not a vitamin C serum and should not be relied on as a substitute for one. A patch test is recommended before first use — see the Safety Data Sheet and Ingredient & Allergen Statement in the Product Documents section below for full detail.

About This Oil

Kakadu Plum Seed Oil is a lightweight, cold-pressed Australian carrier oil pressed from the seed kernels of a fruit famed for its exceptional vitamin C content. While that vitamin C is concentrated in the fruit rather than the seed oil, this oil carries its own strengths — a high linoleic acid content plus gallic and ellagic acid antioxidants. It has been reported to help support collagen production and may help improve the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, and mild breakouts, though individual results vary.

For external use only. Not a substitute for a vitamin C serum. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A patch test is recommended, especially for sensitive skin.
